Autopilot is down

Six hours at the helm hand steering when the two auto pilots go down. Mike Dolan the only other crew member and a car mechanic plus figures it out and fixes it. Break again now a much better fix – we hope.
It’s cold and squally out here. Winds to 40 and gusts above that. Wind also coming at us and we have to tack every few hours to make towards Newport. Despite everything we are making progress and have not yet given up on making NEWPORT BY THE 29TH to qualify for the race to Bermuda.
