Local media is picking up the pace, as the city plans a big send-off beginning with the lead story in today's local newspaper, The St. Augustine Record. Kiwi Spirit, now at my dock opposite the City Marina, will spend the last week at the marina on public display with flags and bunting.
Names of those who have donated to the Foundation for Physical Therapy will go on the boat this week, and those who contribute from now on may be added before departure, or will be carried on the boat and placed upon my return.
It's getting down to the wire. I am trying to stay focused, and not get too excited. New rigging (ropes and lines) go on today.
